EDUCATIONAL RDG has a long history of working with both public and private educational clients. Currently, we are working closely with Amherst College and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst on a variety of architectural and engineering projects. The projects highlighted below and on the following pages indicate the range of services we can provide for educational facilities. |

University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Amherst, Massachusetts RDG is
currently performing as architectural and engineering "house
doctor" at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, the largest
campus in the Massachusetts public university system. Our first project there
was performed in 1988, an ADA review of the Auditorium to provide handicapped
access. In 1994 we performed a systems review of the University Medical
Center in Clinton. Since 1995 we have been performing architectural and
engineering services at the Mather Career Center (a building review and roof
replacement) and at the Goessman Chemistry Building where our Facility Audit
and HVAC and Architectural Program Study are under review for implementation.
More than 130,000 s.f., with a construction value of $25 million, is slated
for renovation at the Goessman Building. |

Amherst College, Amherst, Massachusetts RDG is currently
working on several projects at Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts.
This architectural and engineering renovation work is occurring at multiple
sites throughout the campus, including the Converse/Music Building, the
Athletic Facility, and the Webster/Kirby Building. We are also completing
campus-wide infrastructure and engineering analyses. Past projects include
architectural and engineering work at the President's House, the Mudd
Building, Campus Center, Mead/Fayerweather Hall, and the Merrill Science
Center. The historic nature of the campus buildings under renovation requires
extraordinary sensitivity to the architectural ambiance of the campus as a
whole as well as expertise in the methodologies of historic renovation. |
