PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS

Walker-Kluesing Design Group, Boston, Massachusetts

Rowe Design Group has collaborated with Walker-Kluesing Design Group, an internationally acclaimed landscape architecture firm, on a number of award-winning projects. In 1986, we provided analysis and recommendations for the $939,000 upgrade of Buttonwood Park in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The project was performed on behalf of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management (DEM) and the City of New Bedford. At another New Bedford recreation facility, Hazelwood Park, engineering analysis and planning were provided to restore a seaside park.

RDG performed engineering analysis at Larz Anderson Park in Brookline, Massachusetts, as well as providing a study for the preservation of historic park structures.

Visitor Center Park, also performed for the DEM, is part of the Lawrence Heritage State Park in Lawrence, Massachusetts. This project transformed an existing historic industrial building into a park blending into the urban fabric.
